On Monday I started getting a bit of the cold that Sophia and Franco had last week. Wonderful timing, with Franco being at work and all. Sophia was really good about hanging out in the play yard and watching PBS shows while I rested on the couch. With it being rainy, we didn't leave the house for days. Then yesterday I felt well enough to go get some supplies and today I felt almost normal (if I ignore all the tissue usage).
The reason I might feel so much better today might be because Sophia actually slept last night. After a week of multiple or long wake-ups during the night (like 2+ hours), she slept THROUGH THE NIGHT. I define "sleeping through the night" as she went to bed and didn't wake up until morning. Fluke? Probably. But I'll take it. We did get up at 5am, though. I don't mind the early wake-up if I actually get some decent sleep.
Today we went to the park and played for an hour. This afternoon we walked (with Sophia in the stroller) to Raley's to pick up some special goodies for dinner. We had baked Tillapia with a potato flake crust, zucchini, and fresh french bread (warm when we got it). Sophia didn't care for the fish, but she tried it three times and spit it out each time after chewing a bit. She ended up having some yogurt and apple sauce to round out her meal. Let's hope that is fuel for another good night.
Don't forget to set your clocks forward tomorrow night. :)
